大和魂(ya-ma-to-da-ma-shi-i)

Do you know very gigantic “Battle ship Yamato”?.
These Kanji characters can be literally translated as ‘Japanese spirit’.
I know this phrase might sound too passionate but of course, it might serve as a strong logo. This phrase is a little too masculine to be used by women.

大和(yamato)= These two Kanji are one set. In this context, it is the way of expressing “Japanese”.

闘(damashii)= It simply means ‘spirit’. This Kanji is pronounced as ‘ta-ma-shi-i’ or ‘da-ma-shi-i’ when used alone.

大和魂= It carries a positive meaning which is to fight bravely, to endure deeply or never give up.
Some Japanese like this phrase as a logo.

However, sometimes this phrase is symbol that to endure without specific plans. Foolish commanders/superiors usually order impossible missions with this phrase….”Anyway, you must do it! You can do it because you have 大和魂!!!” like that.

If you are interested in these Kanji, you may simply copy them from this website and use them as you please. Make them yours!
